How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? The primary purpose and function of the position is to ensure that proper maintenance is performed on all customer installations (APSA, FloxAL and Bulk). The incumbent is responsible for coaching and leading the Technical team to guarantee the safety and quality of all such installations, in compliance with ALC’s standards. The District Field Services Manager would oversee the Technical teams based out of Southern Alberta and Manitoba. Supervises and develops team: Ensures that each member of the technical team receives ongoing training according to ALC standards regarding safety features, technical aspects of equipment and regulations. Encourages team members to seek information and resources to enhance their efficiency with customers and to demonstrate creativity and initiative. Ensures feedback on the strengths and weaknesses of each team member, and works with each person at the location to implement a development plan to increase performance and professional growth. Is responsible for site maintenance and new installations: Monitors and supervises maintenance of AL locations within his or her District. Manages new installations, is required to be on site while construction and RFS on all new installations. Identifies contingencies and proposes adequate solutions when necessary. Ensures that the work is completed under the rules and policies governed under IMS, while maintaining schedules and budgets. Continually analyzes the quality of work and is responsible to support the Commercial group with customer visits when required by the client. Plans and schedules preventive maintenance: Plans and schedules preventive maintenance inspections as per ALC contractual agreements. Is responsible for ensuring all sites have an annual maintenance completed for that site. Is responsible for following up any overdue maintenance and any actions coming from regularly performed maintenance at an AL customer site. Schedules services and inspections resulting from customer complaints and bulk driver reports. Provides Technical Support: Is responsible for the safety and quality aspects of the design integrity of installations and in total compliance to ALC standards and all regulatory bodies. Is the person responsible for Technical Support to the field personnel of CI in the District. Manages the activity: Compiles and initiates the quality performance indicators and reviews the operating expenses of the team activities. Maintains customer files pertaining to equipment installed on customer premises. Is responsible for the Customer Installation budget. Extracts new means of increasing efficiency. Communicates on performance measures, analyzes reports and determines the actions to be taken. Process improvement: Works with his/her team as well as with multifunctional teams to continuously improve the work process. Promotes experience sharing. Coordinates the technical assistance provided by other groups. Establishes and maintains relations within his/her own group. Continuously analyses the functioning of the activity, identifies causes of dysfunction and proposes corrective measures accordingly. ___ Are you a MATCH? Experience: 3 to 5 years experience in technical field of industrial gas business, Cryogenic experience, production, installation and or application. Experience managing employees in unionized environments would be considered an asset.
