Job Description:
Read and interpret blueprints for fabrication and weld specifications
Operate shop equipment as required and be familiar with general steel manufacturing practices
Complete all required safety measurements and quality checks
Adhere to Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
Meet shift objectives by ensuring efficient and safe operations
Clean, organize and maintain work area as prescribed by Shop Foreman
Maintain all company tools and equipment to the required standards
Experience/Job Requirements:
Quality oriented with excellent attention to detail
Mechanically inclined
Minimum 2 years practical Fitter-Welder experience
CWB ticket required
MIG Welding, Flux Core Welding
Must work well with others as well as independently
Positive attitude and willingness to earn
Ability to bend, crouch and lift items up to 50lbs
FCAW ticket an asset
Valid driver's license
