About your next Challenge as a Systems Engineer:
What will you do:
Design and update equipment used for the control of naval platforms
Define hardware configurations based on customer signal lists
Coordinate with various software and hardware teams
Review electrical and mechanical drawings for naval equipment
Prepare and perform test procedures for procured and designed equipment
Interperet customer specifications to develop traceable system requirements
Review customer documentation of ship systems including the propulsion, electrical, auxiliary, and damage control systems
Manage obsolescence to support in-service programs
Participate in internal and external meetings regarding interface between ship systems and the control system
Required Skills and Experiences:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 2-3 years experience
Demonstrate interpersonal and team work skills
Excellent communication skills
Demonstrate analytical thinking and problem solving skills
Billingual (French and English);Proficient English writing skills. The English language, other than the French language, is required due to contractual requirements
Knowledge of military or industrial environmental qualification standards and specifications
Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory):
Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada “Reliability” status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance.
Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
