TELUS Health Care Centres (THCC) is hiring Casual Registered Nurses (RNs) in Ontario to support our growing IV Infusion/Therapy Program. This role requires strong clinical expertise, including emergency/trauma experience and advanced IV skills. You will be part of a dynamic and compassionate team delivering personalized, high-quality care across our Executive Health programs.
What You’ll Do
Deliver IV infusion therapy as part of a specialized clinical program for patients receiving IV medications including, but not limited to, IV iron, IV biologics, and IV bisphosphonates.
Assess individual patient needs and develop tailored care plans
Perform comprehensive health assessments and health counseling
Manage potential infusion reactions in collaboration with the NP, adhering to clinical protocols. This may include, but not be limited to, anaphylaxis, bronchospasm, rash, vasovagal reactions, and anxiety.
Triage acute concerns, offer anticipatory guidance, and coordinate care
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care
Maintain and apply in-depth knowledge of clinical protocols and medical directives
Uphold safe, compassionate, and high-quality nursing practices
Accurately document and communicate using EMRs and other digital tools
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.
What You Bring
Registered Nurse (RN) designation in Ontario, in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
BScN – Required
Current First Aid/CPR certification
Minimum 3 years of nursing experience in an Emergency setting (preferably in public or private healthcare settings)
Emergency or trauma care experience – Required
Expertise in IV management/therapy – Required
Experience in IV infusion programs – Strong asset
Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to different clinical settings
Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Nice-to-Haves
ACLS certification
Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and digital health platforms
