We are looking for a Marketing Communications Associate to join our team at Investment Planning Counsel – a Canada Life subsidiary for Individual Wealth. The Marketing Communications Associate is responsible for supporting the production and deployment of all communication across various channels. The ideal individual for this role will partner effectively with various leaders and business partners within the Communications Team and across the organization to ensure communications tactics move through processes efficiently. This role is primarily focused on advisor communications, making it ideal for someone passionate about messaging and audience engagement. In addition to core communication responsibilities, this entry-level position offers the opportunity to build broader skills across the Wealth Experience team. The ideal candidate is a strong collaborator, eager to learn, and ready to contribute to a variety of projects that support our client experience and business goals. This is an 18 Month Contact Role What you will do Manage, produce and build our weekly newsletter and all emails, ensuring adherence to brand style and writing guidelines. Copy review/editing, layout, and content posting on various corporate channels including intranet, blog and social channels. Organize and manage corporate editorial and social calendars, host weekly editorial meetings. Maintain an organized archive of communication materials, templates and resources and keep content management systems updated. Assist in planning and execution of communication initiatives. Work with internal stakeholders to edit and execute day-to-day operational communications. Provide copywriting as well as creative content development for social. Additional communications writing tasks as assigned for operations and other areas of the business. Manage email mailing lists. Submit documents for translation Monitor and report on communications and social media metrics and engagement. Monitor shared mailboxes to ensure queries are promptly triaged for responses. What you will bring 3+ years experience in communications. Post-secondary degree in journalism/communications and/or business. Eager to learn. Industry knowledge or experience is a strong asset Agile in nature and able to pivot as the business evolves. Experience with email and social media management Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, email, HTML, email marketing software and content management systems. Excellent attention to detail and highly organized. Strong editing and proof-reading skills. Able to manage multiple projects and deal with tight deadlines or shifting priorities Able to follow and maintain consistent writing and visual guidelines Moves fast without sacrificing accuracy, timelines or quality of work. Proactive and a fast learner; able to quickly grasp new concepts, tools to execute on role requirements Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Able to search out and identify key sources of information from business partners. - The base salary for this position is between $49,900 - $ 74,800 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
