DIETARY AIDE
Position: Dietary Aide, Casual, Day Shifts (6am-2pm)
Home: Regency Long-Term Care
Location: Port-Hope, ON
Are you passionate about food and caring for others? Regency Long-Term Care Home, part of the Southbridge Care Homes family, is looking for a friendly, dependable, and energetic Dietary Aide to help make every mealtime a positive experience for our residents.
As a Dietary Aide, you’ll play an important role in supporting the nutritional well-being of our residents.
Reporting to the Food Service Manager, you’ll assist with meal preparation, serve meals with care, and ensure that kitchen and dining areas are clean, safe, and welcoming. You’ll also help accommodate individual dietary needs and contribute to a warm, home-like atmosphere.

Duties and Responsibilities
Ensuring food is handled in a safe manner, including proper storage and labeling
Assisting cooks in basic food preparation
Executing proper food service in relation to internal and external guidelines and protocols
Serving meals according to Resident diet orders
Washing, cleaning and maintaining the kitchen and dining room
Qualifications
Mandatory enrollment or completion of a College Level Food Service Worker Program, meeting the requirements of the Ontario Long-Term Care Homes Act
Possess a current Safe Food Handling Certificate
Have a caring heart with a passion for serving others
Passion for providing quality care to residents in a long-term care setting
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Demonstrated ability to be a team player
