You’ll be responsible for delivering a high level of informal leadership while developing the most complex and strategic components of a solution. Join a team that uses a broad range of AWS tools, technologies and platforms to provide the data and analytics solutions that enable end users to perform their tasks. This includes utilizing frameworks and patterns (primarily in AWS), infrastructure as code (primarily CDK) and automation – and collaborating with analytics users and ML/data science specialists using cloud native development What you’ll do Participate in a solution’s architectural direction and be responsible for solution design and implementation Analyze and develop new code including automation, integration and unit tests Implement code fixes and support user testing Participate in and/or lead data processing application design sessions Participate in and/or lead the design and development of data models and analytics Actively contribute to code reviews, providing constructive feedback to team members Participate in and/or lead group design and coding sessions Ensure technical solutions and system integrations are developed and maintained in the most efficient and effective manner What we’re looking for Ability to deliver very complex solutions Strong communicator able to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical personnel Experienced coach and mentor who can help improve team processes Innovative problem-solver and critical thinker with a customer focus Advocate of smart, clean and maintainable code Passion for technology and software development What you’ll need A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or statistics and at least 10 years of related experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience) Expert-level proficiency in some or all the following AWS technologies: AWS Glue, Step Functions, S3, Redshift, Quicksight, Lambda, Eventbridge and AppFlow Expert level proficiency in some or all the following languages: Python, PySpark, Typescript and SQL Proven knowledge of common design patterns and when to apply them, such as object-oriented programming (OOP) and functional programming (FP) paradigms Data modelling experience in both Data Vault 2.0 and Dimensional (Star Schema) methodologies is an asset Experience optimizing design to enable business value creation through analytics You belong here At FCC, we’re committed to creating an inclusive, equitable and accessible workplace – one that reflects the communities where we live, work and play.
