Job Summary
Have you been to a ski resort on a busy morning and wished that someone was directing traffic in the parking lot? Well now you can be that person!
As part of Grounds Crew, you will direct guests to park in and orderly fashion so we can prioritize our parking spaces, shovel loads of snow away from our parking curbs, set up and take down all parking lot equipment like signage and center line ropes, as well as shovel snow in the base area and other areas around the resort. This is a very hands on and ever changing role, which may require you to do lots of different tasks within a day. Running snowblowers, moving signs and tools around, and helping guests navigate and utilize our parking lots and base area will be the primary tasks in Grounds Crew.
Essential Job Functions
Direct traffic to parking lots and into parking spots to best utilize parking space.
Snow removal in parking lots and base area.
Set up and take down of parking lot equipment such as signs and center line ropes.
Assist with gondola line control.
Constant snow removal and snow work. This includes shoveling, ice chipping, and roof raking.
Interact with guests at all times and provide a high level of guest service.
Assist team members at various other work stations with similar duties.
Act as a liaison between guests and Supervisors.
Maintain staff moral and inform Supervisors of any staff requirements/requests.
Required Qualifications and Abilities
Must be elligible to work in Canada - be able to provide documentation of SIN
Must have a passion for the outdoors.
Must be able to do physical labor.
Self-motivated, able to work independently.
Mature, enthusiastic, and guest service oriented.
Must be able to work flexible shifts (we operate on weekends and holidays.)
Multilingual and first aid skills an asset, although not required.
Able to ski or snowboard at and advanced level.
Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate clearly over a radio.
Must be at least 16 years of age.
Must have desire for manual labor outside in winter condition
