Program Manager – Data Transformation (Insurance & Financial Services)
Strategic senior-level role for an experienced Program Manager in the insurance industry, focused on enterprise data transformation. Leverage your 15+ years of leadership in data programs, budget oversight, and cross-functional delivery in a hybrid model with 3 days onsite in Markham. PMP certification required.
What is in it for you:
• Salaried: $110-120 per hour.
• Incorporated Business Rate: $130-145 per hour.
• 6-month contract.
• Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.
• Hybrid model – 3 days per week on-site, subject to change.
• Must be flexible to work extended hours as needed.
Responsibilities:
• Manage strategic enterprise data programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and transformation initiatives.
• Develop and oversee integrated project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams, including internal staff and external vendors, through all phases of program execution.
• Drive execution of Enterprise Data Warehouse and Data Visualization projects from initiation to successful completion.
• Maintain clear communication with executive stakeholders; provide updates on project risks, timelines, and deliverables.
• Champion stakeholder relationships and foster collaborative project environments.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.
• Ensure quality assurance standards and compliance with data principles and governance requirements.
• Manage financial planning, cost models, and large-scale budgets (10MM+).
• Facilitate governance activities, including documentation, reporting, and change requests.
• Coordinate and support product data governance councils and initiatives across enterprise functions.
• Utilize tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
What you will need to succeed:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• 15+ years of experience managing large-scale programs in the insurance or financial sector.
• Proven success in delivering large strategic data transformation programs.
• Experience leading at least 2–3 full-cycle data warehouse/data lake/data visualization implementations.
• Familiarity with government sector project implementation considered an asset.
• 5+ years of enterprise data management experience, preferably in a high-tech environment
• Proficient in one or more technologies: SAS, IBM, Informatica, Microsoft, AWS, Qlik.
• Strong knowledge of data collection, correlation, and analysis methods.
• Demonstrated financial proficiency and ability to manage large budgets.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proven experience coordinating cross-functional teams and vendor partnerships.
• Ability to run effective meetings, workshops, and cross-functional forums.
• Familiarity with multiple project management methodologies.
• Strong critical thinking, analytical, and conflict resolution skills.
