A Day in the Life Main Purpose of Job: Plan, design and execute marketing programs that will preserve, develop and grow of defined Medtronic products. Work with customers, field sales and management to understand the market, competitive strategies, and product opportunities. MAIN JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (may include the following and other duties may be assigned): Directs the development of company market requirements for specific product(s) or product line(s). Leads and coordinates product planning, product launches, product management, market development and market research activities. Interacts directly with product managers to identify new marketing opportunities. Works individually or with a team in recommending action, scheduling and planning projects, estimating cost and managing projects to completion. Identifies unmet customer requirements and new business opportunities and provides vision and focus to move products from idea to market place. Facilitates and coordinates marketing activities with geographic areas to increase teamwork and build partnerships. Responsibilities may also include: coordinating trade show activities, website development, developing future e-commerce strategies, and tracking of marketing campaigns to evaluate results and provide recommendations for future marketing promotions. Responsible for reporting complaints and Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR) Responsible for leading the planning of marketing projects and process improvement initiatives and ensuring marketing team executes successfully on-time and within budget. Recruit, develop and retain superior marketing talent. Maintain talent excellence through coaching and performance management. Lead annual marketing planning process (AOP), strategic planning and quarterly business reviews for portfolio. Lead value-based initiatives and market development programs within respective Diabetes Portfolio. Lead market research and analysis efforts with key customer groups to reveal marketing opportunities including product positioning and message evolution. Monitor competitive activity, and make strategic changes (pricing, product mix) as required. Establishes meaningful metrics and tracks against them. Implement remote sales model and supporting digital marketing strategies that support sales growth and market expansion. Interacts and works closely with other leaders, such as but not limited to Senior Regional Business Director, Marketing Director, and Health System Strategy Directors to ensure marketing programs achieve Medtronic's short and long-term goals while remaining consistent with organization's overall mission. May include some product portfolio responsibilities such as pricing and promotion, demand planning, backorder and obsolescence management, and product launch plans. Establish strong relationships, trust and credibility with the Marketing Leaders from the Global Business Units and the Americas Region Regular consultation with other department leaders in Medtronic to maximize potential synergies: therapy development, marketing operations, supply chain, RAQA, clinical research & sales Additional activities required to effectively manage the assigned portfolio REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree, or Advanced degree. JOB EXPERIENCE Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience, with a bachelor’s degree or Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience, with a advanced degree.
