This role will give you the opportunity to:
Utilize your knowledge of vegetation community and wetland characterization, impact and effects assessments, mitigation management, and habitat reclamation to obtain regulatory permits and approvals
Collaborate with our talented professionals across multiple disciplines to plan projects, implement environmentally sustainable and innovative designs, manage contractors, and coordinate with regulatory agencies
Be the subject matter expert providing high-value technical services to develop positive relationships with our key clients, both internal and external to the organization
Plan and execute field programs in local and remote sites
Prepare and review technical reports
Develop project proposals and budgets
Participate in our global environmental social governance, joint health and safety, or a local social committee
Travel throughout Canada
If you have 6 or more years of applicable experience conducting environmental assessments, a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree specializing in Soil Science, Botany, Ecology, Biology or Environmental Sciences, a solid understanding of vegetation ecology and wetland science, and are registered or qualify to be registered as a P.Biol. or P.Ag. and an Authenticating Wetland Professional, we want to connect with you!

Understanding and experience with the Alberta Wetland Policy and wetland classifications
Proven taxonomic vegetation identification skills including wetland indicators, rare plants, native plants, and introduced and/or weed species
Knowledge and experience with various Ecological Land Classification (ELC) systems and spatial datasets such as the Alberta Vegetation Inventory
Ability to prepare and digitize ELC mapping and wetland boundaries by interpreting digital imagery and field data derived from detailed surveys
Working knowledge of the Canadian System of Soil Classification and AGRASID
Strong understanding of provincial and federal regulatory legislation, guidelines, and regulations
Reclamation, restoration, and/or bioengineering experience
Experience and knowledge in various market sectors including water resources, mining, infrastructure, and transportation
Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite® and capability with GIS and data management
Participation in industry Technical and Professional associations
