Our client is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to helping immigrants with resettlement in the Greater Toronto Area. They assist lawfully admitted immigrants and refugees in meeting basic financial, social, legal, and other requirements of immigration. They advance the well-being and social integration of newcomers by providing a full range of outreach, support, counselling, training, and referral resources.
They are seeking a Payroll, Benefits and Reporting Administrator to join their team. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely administration of payroll, benefits, and pension processes. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, expertise in payroll compliance, and experience using ADP Workforce Now. This is a full time position outside of the bargaining unit.

Responsibilities:
Process and transmit semi-monthly payroll using ADP Workforce Now, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Maintain and update payroll records, including journal entries, coding, and deductions.
Prepare and submit government remittances, including T4s, T4As, WSIB, and EHT.
Respond to employee payroll inquiries promptly and professionally.
Administer the agency’s group benefits plan, including medical, dental, disability, and HCSA.
Act as the primary liaison with benefits providers, ensuring accurate enrolments, changes, and terminations.
Reconcile benefits and pension contributions and process updates within HRIS systems.
Extract and analyze payroll and benefits data for government grants and funders.
Ensure accurate and compliant reporting, collaborating with the Finance Manager.
Provide year-end payroll reconciliations and reporting.
Other duties as assigned.
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
2-3 years of payroll processing and benefits administration experience.
Working towards Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) or Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) designation.
Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll/HRIS software.
Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll tax laws and compliance regulations.
Excellent attention to detail and confidentiality in handling sensitive data.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
