What You’ll Do
Prepare preliminary and detailed grading, servicing, stormwater, and wastewater management designs for private development and municipal road construction/reconstruction projects using AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
Perform routine engineering tasks under supervision, including preparing simple plans, designs, and calculations in accordance with established codes, standards, and specifications.
Assist in modifying existing designs (red-line changes) and suggest adjustments to design approvals or materials.
Conduct routine technical surveys and assist in preparing reports, tender documents, correspondence, and field inspection reports.
Provide occasional site inspections for municipal and private development projects.
Ensure precision and adherence to project specifications while preparing drawings using CAD, Civil 3D, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), and other software.
Coordinate with other design disciplines involved in each project to ensure seamless integration.
Support more experienced technical personnel with specific aspects of complex tasks.
Collaborate with clients under guidance to understand and meet project needs
Apply problem-solving skills to routine technical tasks using established procedures and supervisor guidance.
What You Bring to the Table
Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering, applied sciences or related field.
Previous experience in a consulting engineering environment is an asset.
Understanding of municipal standards, construction terms, and methodologies.
Registered or eligible for registration with the PEO.
Proficiency in engineering software, including AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with clients, design teams, and approval agencies.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
Self-motivated, eager to learn, and open to new challenges.
