Key Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):
Process accounts receivable in a timely and accurate manner
Follow up with customers to ensure timely payments
Monitor and record cattle receivables and maintain detailed records of cattle sales
Prepare and file monthly GST returns in compliance with federal regulations
Process payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines
Monthly availability required
to perform payroll
Draft and maintain rental agreements in accordance with tenancy regulations
Full cycle accounting for some smaller companies
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Other administrative duties as required
Skills:
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
Knowledge of payroll systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office programs
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation
Knowledge of rental agreements is an asset
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Education and Experience Requirements:
Diploma or degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Business Administration, or a related field
2–5 years of relevant experience in bookkeeping, payroll, or financial administration
Experience working in agriculture, property management, or a small business setting is an asset
Schedule: Minimum 30 hours a week. Opportunity to become a full-time position depending on skillset of selected candidate.
