Job Description
With over 25 years of culinary history, Canoe continues to challenge creative boundaries in the spirit of celebrating Canada and its distinct provinces. Connecting people to place through contemporary Canadian cuisine; Canoe crafts-inspired dishes reflect our country’s diverse landscape, history and culture. Our chefs work closely with farmers and suppliers to source the finest ingredients from across the nation.
The Day to Day:
You’re a strong communicator and conduct yourself in a respect manner with with Servers, Hosts and Bartenders
You have a sense of urgency and can complete tasks quickly with ease
You’re tuned in to the space you work in and contribute to the overall cleanliness and organization
You’ll learn and carry out the proper opening and closing procedures of the bar
You’re able to multi task and assist the team with polishing and organizing of glass wears.
You’ll be proactive and regularly check and maintain beer keg and liquor levels
You’ll assist with the FOH team with food running and interact with guest with enthusiasm
Other duties as assigned or required
Qualifications
SmartServe Certified
Prior barista experience is desirable
High attention to detail
Ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment
Organizational skills
Ability to take direction and prioritize
Strong oral communication skills
High level of product knowledge
Ability to maintain a level of professional urgency
Ability to lift 25lbs+ and stand for the majority of the shift
Available weekends, evenings and holidays
