RVT, Neurology Full-time Contract position Location: Calgary, AB The Calgary Animal Referral and Emergency (C.A.R.E.) Centre, a member of VCA Canada, is currently welcoming for a full-time Maternity Leave Neurology Registered Veterinary Technologist to join our very busy service. The C.A.R.E. Centre is a fully functioning referral hospital, with board-certified specialists in a wide range of referral services including: internal medicine, critical care, surgery, radiology, oncology, ophthalmology, neurology, cardiology, dermatology, emergency and dentistry/oral surgery. The C.A.R.E Centre is committed to supporting pet owners and the veterinary community by providing the highest level of animal emergency and referral care. The successful candidate will: Possess excellent interpersonal skills and be compassionate with the needs of their clients. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. Have the ability to work efficiently on your own and with a team. Anesthesia with a ventilator is a common practice and is performed almost daily. Other responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Client communication, booking most consultations/rechecks and procedures, Starting appointments, relaying lab results to clients, Taking radiographs, MRI, collection and submission of blood and other lab samples Maintaining timely and accurate patient records. Schedule: Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., with additional after-hours anesthesia requirements. Applicants must be registered AHTs and eligible for registration with AAAHT in Alberta.
