How you'll make a difference:
- Payroll administration including data entry and bi-weekly processing of
payroll for salary and hourly employees
- Benefits administration for GreenShield, & RBC group benefits and a Manulife
retirement savings programs
- Payroll administration including new hires, leaves of absence, employee
changes, and terminations – the employee life cycle while at DIALOG
- Bi-weekly and monthly journal entries relating to payroll and/or benefits;
reconciliations of payroll & benefit accounts
- Document and records management; timely and accurate uploading of employee
information and supporting materials to our HCM system – Dayforce
- Assist in Identifying, investigating, and resolving discrepancies in
timesheet and payroll records
- Respond to payroll, and benefit inquiries from employees
- Assist management with internal and external audits
- Assist with weekly timesheet review and posting
- Ad-hoc reports as required
Who you are:
- 3 - 6 years’ payroll experience as a designated PCP.
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) in good standing with the National
Payroll Institution (NPI) is required
- Good working knowledge of Canadian Employment Standards Legislation and
experience with payroll in British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario is
preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, is essential
- Strong discretion and ability to uphold confidentiality
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to prioritize
and multitask in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Enjoy working in a team environment and continually develop skills
- Willing to work a hybrid schedule, with a minimum of 2 days/week in studio
Nice to have:
- Experience with Dayforce, BST10, and ADP
- US payroll experience, specifically California payroll experience
- Post-secondary education (certificate, diploma, or degree) in related field
- Prior accounting and/or bookkeeping experience
- Experience in multi-province, mid-sized organizations (500+ employees)
