Reporting to the Associate Director, Software Engineering, you will help drive
forwards the evolution our experience platform into a modern, state-of-the-art
micro-frontend architecture using foundational Azure Cloud, DevOps, API, and
PaaS services to deliver dozens of production releases per month. You will work
closely with a cross-functional team through all areas of Agile Software
Development and will partner closely with Digital Banking Business and Product
teams to prioritize and deliver outcome driven solutions. This will include
enabling MVP approaches and faster learning towards our customer goals and
objectives.
As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer you will be responsible for designing,
developing, and supporting our web. You will work closely with cross-functional
teams to assess and clarify user experience and requirements, and provide
technical guidance, mentorship, and knowledge sharing with other software
engineers. You will also support experience design, functional requirements, and
digital product definition by providing technical solutions, and analyze and
provide feedback to evolve creative designs and functional requirements to
define a customer-centric solution. Additionally, you will contribute to
technical and non-functional requirements, and define an integrated solution
design with support from front-end and back-end system teams

The Work!
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of high-performant user
experiences on the web
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers,
designers, and QA, to define and implement innovative solutions for the
product direction, visuals, and experience.
- Architect and implement robust and scalable solutions across platforms,
ensuring code quality, performance, and maintainability.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best
practices to continuously improve development processes across platforms.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior developers, fostering a
culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration within the experience platform
development teams.
- Conduct code reviews and contribute to the establishment and enforcement of
coding standards to maintainhigh-quality codebase.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to web and native
application development and performance.
- Work closely with product managers to understand business requirements and
translate them into technical specifications.
- Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate the frontend applications
with server-side components and third-party services.
- Participate in the entire application lifecycle, from concept and design to
testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Optimize our frontend solutions for performance, scalability, and usability,
ensuring a smooth and responsive user experience.
- Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and frameworks to identify
opportunities for improving the development process.
- Contribute to the development of technical documentation and knowledge
sharing within the engineering team
Knowledge/Skill Requirements
- 5+ years of Web & API Development experience working in cross-functional,
agile teams deliver and support web & API applications.
- 3+ years of experience in Frontend experience in JavaScript/SpringBoot, CSS
and HTML & Framework experience in Angular.js [http://angular.js/], Flutter,
or React Native is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in Java API Integration Experience integrating
frontend applications with RESTful APIs and other web services & Knowledge of
GraphQL and WebSocket is a plus.
- Preferred experience in Architecture and Design with a strong understanding
of web and application architecture and design patterns.
- Proficiency with version control systems, such as Github.
- Testing and Debugging: Strong skills in writing unit tests and conducting
automated testing.
- Proficient in debugging and performance optimization for web & mobile
applications.
- Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD):
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools tautomate the development,
testing, and deployment process.
- Security: Understanding of web security best practices, Knowledge of secure
coding principles and encryption techniques.
- Database Knowledge: Familiarity with mobile database systems, both local and
remote

The incumbent will be working hybrid and in office time will be spent working
from Equitable Bank’s additional office space located at 2200-25 Ontario Street,
