We are currently looking for Inventory control guards to work at the APD site with us.
The position will see you working on call so flexible availability would be advantageous.
Payrate $24 per hour
Some of your responsibilities include:
Ensure that Inventory Control operates in an effective manner and provides excellent service and support to the client.
Follow APD, department and Commissionaires’ policy.
Issuing and tracking location of equipment through use of Equipment Tracker.
Ensuring all equipment is charged and operational and arranging for repair and maintenance of equipment as necessary.
Tracking and maintaining uniform and duty gear items
Arranging shipping of courier packages for department and receiving courier packages
Prepare orders for supplies.
Loading new Patrol Vehicles with proper equipment and supplies and ensuring vehicles are set up with cell phones, radios and MDTs before issuing.
Assisting Forensic Identification (FIS) staff, as needed, to identify assignment history of cameras, voice recorders and memory cards.
Liaising with cell phone supplier re: cell phone problems.
Liaising with Firearms Officer and Training Officer re: planning for equipment needs during training and for repairs of weapons.
Completing other tasks as requested by members and staff of APD.
Your Must-Haves:
Basic First Aid/Occupational First Aid Level 1 (or willing to obtain)
Ability to clear a Criminal Background Check
Minimum 5 years residence in Canada
Demonstrated interest and experience in serving the public
Professional standard of conduct, dress and deportment
Ability to use computers and various reporting systems
Ability to handle emergency situations in a calm and professional manner
Fluent English written, verbal and reading skills
Your Nice-To-Haves:
BC Security Licence
Experience working in a similar role
Advanced Security Training
RCMP or Policing experience
Criminal Justice Degree or working towards one
