The successful candidate will be responsible for administrative support duties. Specifically, your duties will include: Manage schedules for interprofessional team, which includes updating payroll system and contacting staff to fill vacant shifts Anticipating the needs of the program, ordering supplies, obtaining quotes from vendors, photocopying and filing Coordinating equipment repairs visits and ordering required supplies Collating allied health workload data Completing unit audits as required Arranging meetings, room bookings and minute taking Performing special projects as assigned Communicating effectively with the interprofessional team POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Previous unit secretary/medical clerical experience; in an acute hospital environment is required Completion of medical terminology course or equivalent Previous employee scheduling and payroll experience required Previous experience in a fast paced environment with a strong customer service focus Proficient computer skills and recent experience with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), MEDITECH and virtual care platforms is required Strong customer service, interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills Excellent telephone manner and customer service Ability to prioritize and manage multiple demands in a fast pace environment Proven ability to multitask and maintain accuracy while balancing competing priorities/performing various tasks Strong critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills with evidence of a high attention to detail Excellent accuracy of work Strong initiative to get work done Excellent organizational skills and proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment Demonstrated ability to work effectively within an interprofessional team as well as independently Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards Demonstrated commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with organization related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required Work Schedule: The successful candidate is required to work Monday to Sunday 4 and 8 hour shifts.
