Achieve optimum production times by performing routine preventative maintenance tasks and repairing any or all inoperable machines including electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Perform maintenance & repairs to facilities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Essential Functions Statement(s) Operate various hand tools in the repair of machinery & building Troubleshoot machine problems and have a basic repair skill set for each system being worked on Be aware and use all applicable lock out/tag out procedures for each component being worked Operate various machine tools to manufacture new parts Load and unload items from machines, tables, & turntables Assist helpers performing duties of lesser skill by delegating job tasks, giving time constraints to all work procedures thru out the repair processes, and cleaning work areas and equipment. Clean and lubricate equipment. Start machines or equipment in order to begin production processes. Place products in equipment or on work surfaces for further processing, inspecting, or wrapping. Remove products, machine attachments, and waste material from machines. Pack and store materials and products. Transfer finished products, raw materials, tools, or equipment between storage and work areas of plants and warehouses, by hand or using hand trucks or powered lift trucks. Signal coworkers to direct them to move products during the repair process. Measure amounts of products, lengths of articles, to ensure conformance to specifications. Read gauges and charts, and record data obtained in the repair process Clean work areas, machines, equipment, vehicles, and products. Change machine knives, using wrenches and applicable tools. Wear many hats and may be asked to assist with other areas in the shop/office/warehouse. Attendance at work during the regularly scheduled shift is an essential duty. This includes, but is not limited to the ability to be present at work, arrive on time and be at the work station ready for work at the start of the shift. Perform other duties as assigned.
