We are seeking an Actuarial Analyst to join our team in Oakville. Reporting to the Principals at Robertson, Eadie & Associates, the Retirement Actuarial Analyst prepares pension calculations, analysis, and reports for defined benefit and defined contribution pension plans working directly with actuaries and pension consultants. The Actuarial Analyst will: Complete year-end tasks such as preparing annual pension statements, member reconciliations and fund reconciliations; calculating Pension Adjustments; determining increases to pensions-in-pay Assist in day-to-day administrative tasks including calculation of pension benefits for retirement, termination, death or marriage breakdown under various types of plans and preparation of pension documentation for clients and plan members in accordance with pension plan provisions and provincial legislation Assist in the regulatory processes; such as preparing quarterly pension adjustment reversals and annual information returns Perform complex calculations and assist with the preparation of actuarial valuations of pension plans Draft professional reports and correspondence Assist with special projects To be successful as an Actuarial Analyst with Robertson, Eadie & Associates, you will need: A university degree in Actuarial Science or Mathematics and Statistics Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint The ability to work in a fast-paced team environment but also efficient when working independently Time management skills and the ability to set priorities when faced with competing deadlines Exceptional communication and organizational skills with attention to detail Strong at analyzing problems and solving them Exceptional client focus and professional acumen Familiarity with actuarial valuation software ProVal is an asset but not required All-Star Candidates will have: Progression towards an actuarial designation Bilingualism in English & French 1-2 years experience in an actuarial role Robertson, Eadie & Associates is a boutique consulting firm delivering group benefits and retirement planning expertise to employers across Canada.
