Shift Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week)
Compensation: $43.09/hr

The Opportunity:
We are currently looking for one (1) full-time Fleet & Yard Mechanic to join our fast-paced team at our Calgary, Alberta office. This role is responsible for:
Provide onsite truck & trailer repairs in the Calgary yard for company equipment
Knowledge of chassis mechanics of trucks, trailers & containers
Inspect and diagnose truck & trailer issues quickly and repair immediate need items
Performing general truck & trailer repairs on air brakes, electrical components and hydraulic systems, doors, landing gear etc. Experience with refrigeration and/or tailgate repairs an asset
Perform steel / aluminum welding (Stick/Mig/Tig) as required
Conduct annual safety inspections
Outline all parts used and input comments into the work order (complaint, cause and correction) regarding the repair
Inspect entire vehicle and ensure repairs are complete
Notify Fleet Co-ordinator of any additional repairs required
Participate in formal and informal training sessions
Help with accident investigations
Majority of work to be done outside, must be willing to work in adverse weather conditions
Perform other maintenance duties as required
What you need to be successful in the role:
Provincial Alberta Heavy Equipment or Truck and Coach Technician Certification, or interprovincial designation from other province
2-5 years’ of prior work experience as a Technician
Prior experience working on trucks, trailers & containers an asset
Steel / aluminum welding experience (Stick/Mig/Tig) an asset
Knowledgeable with air brakes and electrical diagnostics
Valid class 5 driver’s license required
Must have suitable tools or willingness to purchase prior to hire
Able to use current technology to ensure vehicle safety and performance
Detail oriented with the ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task in a busy environment
Mechanically inclined
