Job Description
Are you a skilled 421A Mechanic looking for an exciting opportunity in the metal recycling industry? If you have experience and expertise in maintaining and repairing heavy machinery and equipment, we have the perfect role for you!
What you’re responsible for:
Perform maintenance, repair, and diagnostics on a wide range of heavy machinery and equipment used in metal recycling operations
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment
Troubleshoot and identify issues with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
Complete repairs and replacements of faulty components, adhering to safety and quality standards
Collaborate with the maintenance team to schedule and prioritize repair tasks efficiently
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and log work performed
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while conducting maintenance and repairs
Qualifications
To join our team:
Valid 421A Heavy Equipment Technician License
Previous experience as a 421A Mechanic, preferably in a industrial setting
Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and schematics
Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment issues
Strong commitment to safety and adherence to industry regulations
Physical ability to handle the demands of the job, including lifting and working in various weather conditions
