About Your New Role: Reporting to the Supervisor, Maintenance, the Technician, Service, will be responsible to ensure lubrication and fueling requirements with regards to all appropriate underground mine equipment is completed in a timely manner, that is in accordance with fueling / lubricating schedules as set out by underground mine management. Your Key Responsibilities: Performs minor repairs to mine lubrication systems as required. Identifies and reports unusual noises or malfunctions on equipment. Will perform job functions in an area designated by the shift supervisor and will be readily available to supply required services to operators as required. Steam clean equipment and perform other Serviceman functions as required, e.g.: changing filters, topping up fluid levels and greasing. Perform checks & makes minor repairs to equipment, tightening of loose hoses, clamps, lights, etc. Serviceman is responsible to ensure the servicing of his maintenance vehicle is performed on a regular basis. Time allowing and as required, will perform any additional work the Supervisor deems to be part of the incumbent’s overall job responsibilities. Night & Day shift is requirement as necessary. Your Knowledge and Skills: Attention to detail. Ability to lift heavy objects. Good communication skills. Ability to work in a crouched or standing position for extended periods. Ability to work independently and in a team. Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. A positive and proactive attitude towards safety is essential. Your Education and Experience: The successful candidate will have: Minimum two (2) years’ experience in OTR. Work experience as a Service Technician. Underground experience an asset. About Our Working Conditions: This position has a schedule of 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off at our remote camp which you will be required to fly in fly out with pick up points in Saskatoon, Prince Albert and La Ronge.
