JOB TITLE: Hospitality Aide

Hours of Work: 0730-1300/1600-1900
REPORTS TO: Kitchen Supervisor
DUTIES
Sets tables, serves food and beverages in accordance with the established policies and procedures and all applicable regulations
Maintains work and storage areas in a clean, safe and sanitary manner
Washes, cleans and stores dishes, cutlery, fixtures and equipment used for food preparation and service
Operates food service equipment, such as hot carts and dishwashers
Prepares food items and assembles ready foods for service
Other duties may include light food preparation, portioning and plating
Demonstrates knowledge of fire/emergency procedures and policies of the facility; participates in fire and emergency drills
Performs other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Grade 10 education
Current Food Safe Level 1 Certification
Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing
REQUIRED:
Current and clear Criminal Records Check including the Vulnerable Sector Check that has been obtained no more than 6 months prior to hire date
Immunization Records, including Tuberculosis screening
PREFERRED:
Previous experience in a senior's home setting and/or previous food service establishment
