Bilingual Executive & Board Assistant - Term - 18512
About the Opportunity We are working with a small but mighty national association to source an experienced Bilingual Executive & Board Assistant. This member-based organization supports its profession across Canada with both industry advocacy and ongoing professional development for its members.
Duties include but are not limited to: - Support the CEO, in calendar management and document preparation
- Coordinate all of the meeting logistics for the Board and external committees, including travel, accommodations and meeting venues
- Prepare and distribute meeting packages using posting tools as provided
- Attend meetings and record minutes and action items for follow up
- Assist new Board members with Board orientation, maintenance of Board and procedural manuals
- Provide project coordination support
- Provide support to the Manager, Projects & Events
- Contribute to successful events, including work with vendors, event systems and logistics
- Provide occasional on-site event support, as required
About You
The successful candidate will have the following: - A minimum of two to five years of relevant experience in an executive administrative support function, ideally in a CEO's office
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal in both official languages (English/French)
- Experience providing support to professional development events
- Experience supporting a Board of Directors or Governance function would be considered an asset
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain confidentiality
- Willingness to travel occasionally to attend and support professional events
About the Job
This position is a full time 12-month term position starting immediately, offering a salary of $55,000-$65,000 commensurate with experience together with a comprehensive benefits package, paid for by the association and including a retirement component. This client offers a hybrid work environment (2 days/week in office) conveniently located in the downtown core.
