Job Description: The Nurse Practitioner is an advanced practice nurse with knowledge and skills gained through advanced academic preparation and experience. The Nurse Practitioner practices by blending an in-depth knowledge of advanced nursing practice with the legal authority and autonomy as outlined in legislation, regulation, CRNS Bylaws, regulatory requirements, and best practices. The Nurse Practitioner will provide care and services at the Urgent Care Centre within their full scope of practice and competencies for clients both independently and collaboratively with a physician(s) and the healthcare team. As health care professionals, they participate in self and peer review to evaluate the outcome of their services at the patient, community, and population level.

Experience
1 year full time experience working as a Nurse Practitioner.
3 years experience as a RN in critical care, ER, acute care or primary care.
Education
or Post-Graduate Practitioner Certificate is required
Master of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP)
Licenses
Valid Class 5 driver's license
Registered Nurse Practitioner (RN(NP))
Other Education and Training
Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS)
Basic Life Support Level C Certificate (BLS-C)
