Job Description What is the opportunity? Physical Network Strategy is responsible for the strategy and execution of the Canadian Banking physical network (branches and ATMs). The Reporting & Analytics team develops the high level strategy for the physical distribution channel investment including planning, governance, business case development and post-execution performance reporting, as well as managing data requirements and analytics to support Physical Network Strategy initiatives. RBC is recruiting for an exciting Senior Manager – Reporting & Analytics role. In this position you will leverage your financial skillset and knowledge to support the physical distribution network strategies including development, management, tracking and spend prioritization of our annual budget, expense tracking and forecasting, as well as the management of the business casing, financial implications of and approval for recommended projects to be funded under our approved budget. What will you do? Support retail strategic initiatives through calculating financial implications for initiatives, strategic market plans and projects recommended for funding under our approved budget, using long term financial models that produce income statement projections and KPIs including NPV and payback period, in addition to supporting the related business case and management of the approvals under the Delegation of Authorities Track the expense impact of current and expected approved /future pipeline projects Support and manage the annual budget process and financial models Provide clear, concise and insightful analysis and presentations to stakeholders and senior management Develop and manage dashboards and reporting What do you need to succeed? Must-have Very strong attention to detail, prioritizing data integrity, completeness and accuracy in all activities Strong financial acumen and capabilities including expertise in financial analysis and modelling Experience in and ability to clearly formulate/articulate findings to stakeholders and senior management in reporting and presentations Expert Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills Familiarity and/or experience in financial planning, budgeting and business strategy Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross functional environment Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) Ability to simultaneously and independently manage multiple projects and deadlines University degree in business, finance or other quantitative field of study (e.g. financial analysis) Nice-to-have Broad understanding of bank channel economics, bank physical distribution, and real estate Knowledge of analytics and related tools, such as SQL and Alteryx What’s in it for you?
