This Position reports to:
Finance Manager
This role reports to the Local Division Finance Manager.
The work model for the role is: Hybrid.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide financial expertise collecting, analyzing and interpreting financial information and implementing changes that would benefit the organization. Each day, you will compile interact with different parts of the organization, identify trends and problems, and communicate information to relevant groups. You will also showcase your expertise by recommending actions to improve the financial performance of a specific business.
Your Role: Own the Challenge
Support business performance analysis versus plan and propose improvement actions.
Be accountable of the calculation and maintenance of several financial incentives like rebates and SPAs.
Executing benchmarking of key performance indicators with other businesses within ABB; and working with other finance professionals to understand and implement improvements. Develop deep financial analysis.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and audit requirements, maintaining accurate documentation for audits.
Support month-end close activities including account analysis, reconciliations, journal entries, SOX controls, and variance reporting for management.
Review and accurately classify income and expenditures in line with company accounting policies and procedures.
Preparing financial modeling for various hypotheses and the overall impact to the business unit.
Supporting the preparation of financial reporting, business planning, budgeting, and forecasting for the relevant organization.
What it takes to run what runs the world
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAP.
5 years minimum experience in FP&A
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
Proficiency in French is mandatory, as well as English in order to communicate effectively with internal clients and partners located outside of Quebec.
