Patient Access Representatives deliver what matters most to our patients and their families, ensure exceptional experiences and thrive on making positive impacts in the community. As a Patient Access Representative, you will pre-register and greet patients, verify information and collect copays for diagnostic services and pre-register patients for outpatient services. Your role is essential to ensuring a seamless model of access for patients, physicians and family members. A caregiver in this position works evenings from 3:00PM – 11:00PM, including every 3rd Saturday. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Perform registration and obtain information about demographics, insurance, medical and financial. Crosstrain to staff all areas of patient access, such as front desk, admitting office, ED and cash register. Function as a Super User and act as a resource for training of new caregivers. Provide registration and cash collection access in Epic. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: High School Diploma or GED and two years of experience in a customer facing role OR an Associate’s Degree and one year of experience OR a Bachelor’s Degree Knowledge of medical terminology sufficient to understand physician orders OR completion of course within one year Basic PC software application knowledge and ability to use multiple data systems Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities. Requires extended periods of standing, walking or sitting. Good visual acuity through normal or corrected vision. Must be able to navigate various locations and function in a fast-paced, hectic environment. Ability to lift and transport up to 25 pounds.
