What are your contributions to the team?
Work with the IT Operation and Infrastructure teams
Assess the current monitoring landscape for mission-critical applications
Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and business transactions to monitor synthetically
Design and implement synthetic monitoring scripts using appropriate tools (e.g., Datadog, etc.)
Configure alerting thresholds and escalation paths for synthetic checks
Validate synthetic monitoring coverage and ensure alignment with application owners
Document monitoring configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
Collaborate with IT operations and application teams to integrate synthetic monitoring into existing dashboards and workflows
Contribute to the continuous improvement of monitoring strategies and operational resilience
Propose new tools and processes to simplify daily tasks
During your internship, you will learn:
The fundamentals of synthetic monitoring and its role in ensuring application reliability and performance.
How to use “Synthetic Monitoring* tool” to create and manage browser and API tests.
Best practices for designing synthetic tests that simulate real user journeys and critical business transactions.
How to configure alerting and incident workflows based on synthetic test results.
How to interpret test results and performance metrics to identify potential issues before they impact users.
The broader context of observability and how synthetic monitoring complements other data sources like APM, logs, and real user monitoring (RUM).
How to thrive in this role?
You are enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree in Information systems
You know Office suite and fundamental of Observability
You have a good knowledge of French and English (spoken and written)
You have knowledge of programming and coding. This would be a considerable asset.
