Job Description What is the opportunity? As a Senior Will and Estate Advisor, you are the rock in a client family’s relationship during one of the most difficult, stressful and emotional times in their lives. From guiding heirs and beneficiaries through a departed loved one’s estate plan to navigating family dynamics, the work you do is intimate and critical. Your purpose-driven work will include the acquisition of new Wills and Powers of Attorney documents appointing Royal Trust in a fiduciary capacity. As part of the Royal Trust team, you’ll develop strong relationships to provide clients with a comprehensive overview of RBC products and solutions to help them now and in the future. What will you do? Self-source new Will and Power of Attorney appointments and other new business opportunities through established relationships with Centers of Influence Provide advice on will planning issues, ensures that new documents meet internal policy standards Develop strong working relationships with key internal partners and external Centers of Influence Act as a resource by providing advice on specific estate and trust legal issues Keep current with legislative changes related to estate & trust issues within the applicable governing jurisdiction Provide timely and effective client service for existing clients relative to their Wills and Powers of Attorney documents Provides superior client service for existing clients and partners in order to ensure retention of appointments Assist and mentor team members in achieving their potential through effective coaching, mentoring, communication, and training and development activities (as applicable) What do you need to succeed? Must-have Law degree and be a member of the Law Society of British Columbia Possess or working towards TEP designation At least 5-7 years of related experience Nice-to-have Previous experience or general knowledge of estate and trust related administration What’s in it for you? The expected salary range for this position is $80,000 - $135,000. You have the potential to earn more through RBC’s robust discretionary bonus program which gives you an opportunity to increase your total compensation, provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals.
