Job Description What is the opportunity? As a Senior Manager, Business Analysis & Reporting, you will work closely with LOB Product managers, Insight & Client Engagement Leads, Sales teams and Senior Management to achieve RBC’s strategic priorities. Together with internal business partners, you will strive to always earn the right to be the Canadian Personal and Commercial clients’ first choice by delivering an integrated, tailored, and superior client experience, growing profitable relationships with our clients, and creating sustainable value for RBC shareholders. Support information-based business decisions by identifying, understanding, capturing, organizing, presenting, and disseminating data. You will be responsible for enabling discovery and implementation of key business opportunities and delivering capabilities with aggressive targets. You will also support the achievement of the business by providing revenue generating capabilities or cost efficiencies through improved processes. What will you do? Key contributor on cross functional RBC client, product & channel strategy teams; develop hypotheses to assist in business decision-making through advanced in depth analytics in support of RBC strategic priorities. Lead in the design, evaluation and quantification of these business strategies. Participate in strategy meetings to gather and document business requirements and learn how to formulate analytical framework. Provide recommendation for analysis. Perform all manner of data mining activities towards channel, product and client-centric applications (activities include, but are not limited to: data analysis, aggregation, and management). Profile clients and channels. Through analysis, contribute to the assessment of the business impact of business strategy initiatives. Help internal business partners become self-sufficient in using business applications and reports. Manage daily workflow, resolve conflicting priorities, and negotiate realistic timelines requiring minimum supervision. Contribute actively in self and peer development relating to lines of businesses, products, channels, operational processes, relationship management, and technology enhancement. Develop and share knowledge of new businesses, techniques, and ideas. Contribute to the overall effectiveness of the Information Delivery & Solutions team. Ensure compliance and privacy guidelines are strictly adhered to. Champion a positive, trusting, and satisfying work climate by living RBC values and culture. What do you need to succeed? Must-have: 3+ years' experience in related digital product development, marketing analyst or data mining role Proven analytics and problem-solving skills Strong drive and desire to understand relationship of organizational components BA/BSc or above in mathematics, economics, statistics, computer science or related quantitative field Advanced experience with SQL, Python, Scala, SAS or Tableau Sound business acumen and strong analytical, communication and presentation skills Strong problem solving skills and ability to conceptualize strategy Demonstrated ability to work well collaboratively in a cross function environment as well as independently with initiative taking ownership Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional environment. Preference given to experience with multiple products and lines of businesses. Invigorated when working under pressure. Display fine balance of creativity, adaptability, motivation, and independence. Nice-to-have: Minimum successfully-completed undergraduate degree in Statistics, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a discipline that develops capability in data and analysis Experience in financial services industry with broad understanding of marketing, product management, sales, finance, pricing and risk management Experience with text analytics and statistical model development Experience with Hadoop and Google Analytics What’s in it for you?
