A Little About You
Your application should cover the following:
Why you want to work in Squamish, BC
AScT or C.Tech. designation or a diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Civil Design Technology, Civil Design and Drafting Technology, and/or Geomatics Engineering Technology.
2 years of experience, but soon to be graduates are also encouraged to apply!
Experience with Civil 3D and/or AutoCAD
Any experience you have with practical design and construction in municipal engineering including roads, drainage, water distribution, sewer, and utilities design
Working knowledge of roadway, site grading and utility servicing design
Bonus points for:
Construction inspection experience
Understanding of, or experience with, MMCD

Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will be exposed to the entire project lifecycle – from start to finish, you will see the project from conception to completion! Working in collaboration with your peers in the Squamish office and all other ISL offices, this role will be responsible for:
Completion of drafting for municipal engineering including roadways, water distribution, wastewater collection, and storm water management using Civil 3D and AutoCAD
Consistently applying drafting standards and policies
Topographic survey and field work
Performing design calculations and analysis
Preparation of tender documents including specifications, cost estimating, and special provisions
Construction inspection and administration
Collaboration on projects both locally and across ISL disciplines and offices

The salary ranges for this position (based on a 40-hour work week) is:
$72,000 to $85,000 depending on your level of experience in relation to the job requirements
