We are seeking a Senior Manager, Brand Budget Operations to lead the setup,
health, and day-to-day management of the department’s budget. This role serves
as the central point of contact for two areas of oversight:
· Forecasting & Financial Planning — Supporting Brand Marketing leadership in
accurate forecasting and financial planning in partnership with FP&A
· Budget Process Management — Overseeing structure, maintenance, onboarding,
and training for budget processes
You will be responsible for hosting monthly budget check-ins, leading quarterly
close preparation and financial summary creation, and identifying and
communicating risks to department leadership.
This role is based out of our North Vancouver office. Candidates must be
eligible to work in Canada.
Meet Your Future Team:
This role sits within the Brand Operations team and works closely with both
Brand Leadership and the Finance team. You will partner regularly with our
dedicated FP&A contact to address cross-functional spend and allocation issues.
In addition, you will collaborate with the numerous budget holders across the
Brand department, as well as their senior managers.

If you were the Senior Manager, Brand Budget Operations, here are some of the
activities you would be doing:
- Owning brand-side budget planning and supporting strategic investment
decisions
- Managing forecast accuracy and preparing timely financial updates (weekly,
monthly, quarterly, annual)
- Serving as the go-to person for, forecasting, and FP&A-related questions,
concerns and process needs within the marketing department’s budget system
- In partnership with our FP&A partner, analyzing and all department budgets’
health and reporting key variances
- Monitoring budget performance and communicating overages, underages, and
risks
- Collaborating with leadership to address funding needs, maintaining financial
visibility
- Leading regular financial meetings to drive alignment and transparency
- Supporting finance-driven changes including reallocations and
reprioritizations
- Coaching and onboarding team members on financial systems and best practices
- Maintaining budget resource site and owning content accuracy
- Developing new training tools and resources to improve forecasting and
reporting accuracy
- Managing budget tool upgrades, price negotiations, vendor vetting, contract
renewals and workflow improvements
- Over communicating financial deadlines and expectations across stakeholders
- Partnering with FP&A to strengthen brand–finance alignment and
decision-making

- Providing proactive risk and opportunity assessments for under-resourced or
delayed initiatives
- Leading budget conversations, keeping the departmental overview readily
available
Are you our next Senior Manager, Brand Budget Operations?
- You have a Bachelor's degree or postsecondary education in a related field
- You have 8+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis within a
marketing or creative studio environment
- You have experience leading budget owners of various skill levels
- You have proven ability to communicate financial concepts to diverse
audiences
- You are fluent in both marketing and finance conversations, and confident
translating between the two
- You are skilled in instructing, coaching, and upskilling others in budgeting
and forecasting processes
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to
influence without direct control
- You have technical expertise with the following programs: SAP,
ReadSoft/Kofax, Concur, budget management softwares such as Allocadia, and
Microsoft Office
- You have relentless attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks
to meet deadlines
- You have a positive approach to problem-solving through analytical and
strategic thinking and operational efficacy.
- You are agile in your approach to adapt to ever changing evolution of our
business needs

$125,000 - $156,000 a year
A reasonable estimate of the pay range is CAD$125,000 - CAD$156,000 at the time
of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such
as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training.
Please note that the range details above reflect the base pay only and does not
include our competitive bonus program and benefits that we offer.
