Position Title: Supervisor Lifts (Seasonal)

Job Summary: Ski Lift Supervisor Lifts will be responsible for supervising day-to-day lift operations while ensuring the safety, efficiency, and professionalism of all lift staff. You will train and mentor Lift Attendants, perform routine operational checks, and help maintain a safe and welcoming experience for our guests.
This role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge of lift systems, a proactive attitude, and a passion for outdoor recreation.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Leadership & Supervision
Supervise lift operations and all Lift Operators/Attendants during scheduled shifts.
Provide on-site support, coaching, and mentorship to lift staff.
Cover Lift Attendant breaks as needed.
Training & Safety
Train Lift Operators/Attendants on the safe and efficient operation of lifts.
Ensure all lift staff comply with safety regulations and resort policies.
Conduct pre-season and on-the-job training sessions.
Stay current with and maintain all required certifications.
Operations & Inspections
Perform scheduled operational and safety checks on lifts.
Execute opening and closing procedures for lifts.
Respond to and troubleshoot lift issues during operations.
Coordinate setup and takedown of on-hill signage and equipment.
Monitor hill conditions and address any safety concerns proactively.
Technical & Emergency Preparedness
Be trained in and prepared to assist with lift evacuations and use of auxiliary motors.
Operate snowmobiles to access and inspect lift stations and hill areas.
Other Duties
Assist other departments as required based on operational needs.
Attend all required pre-season and corporate training sessions.
Key Qualifications:
Minimum age: 16 years
Valid Ontario G-class driver’s license
Previous experience in a supervisory, mechanical, or lift operations role is an asset
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to lift up to 45 lbs (20.4 kg) and perform physically demanding tasks
Comfortable working in all weather conditions
Customer-focused, reliable, and takes pride in their work
Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed
Additional Requirements:
Passionate about the outdoor recreation industry
Approachable, empathetic, and a strong team player
Must provide:
DOT-approved snowmobile helmet and goggles
Black snow pants (no logos) and other required uniform items in compliance with uniform policy
A Chicopee uniform jacket will be provided upon a $100 refundable deposit and signed agreement.
