About the Position:
Walters is seeking a Manager, Enterprise Applications & Data to lead the strategy, management, and optimization of the company’s business systems, integrations, and data platforms. This role will oversee a mix of in-house developed solutions and off-the-shelf applications that together support our core operations. A key priority will be strengthening the integration and alignment of these systems across our Canadian and U.S. divisions to enable better collaboration, visibility, and performance.
While this is a leadership position with a team of analysts, developers, and specialists reporting in, we’re looking for someone who’s equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves when needed, providing technical guidance, assisting with troubleshooting, or getting hands-on with configuration and integration work. The ideal candidate will combine strategic vision with technical insight, ensuring that our enterprise applications and data initiatives not only align with business objectives but also deliver reliable, day-to-day value.
Key Responsibilities:
Enterprise Applications
Own day-to-day management of enterprise systems including ERP and other operational applications.
Oversee lifecycle management, upgrades, licensing, customizations and vendor relationships for enterprise applications.
Partner with business units to capture requirements and deliver enhancements that improve efficiency and workflows.
Provide high-level escalated support for complex system issues
Systems Integration & Data Flow
Lead the design and maintenance of system integrations across ERP, reporting platforms, and third-party solutions.
Ensure data accuracy and consistency across platforms through well-governed data pipelines.
Collaborate with the Technical Services team to ensure secure and scalable integration architecture.
Reporting, BI & Data Governance
Develop and manage the enterprise reporting strategy, tools, and dashboards.
Partner with leadership teams to define KPIs and deliver actionable insights.
Establish master data governance, ensuring high data quality and standardization.
Drive adoption of self-service analytics across the business.
Leadership & Business Partnership
Lead, mentor, and develop the applications and data team, setting clear goals and supporting their growth.
Serve as the go-to partner for departmental leaders across Operations, Finance, Engineering, and HR for applications and data needs.
Support the VP of Digital & Technology in aligning enterprise applications and data strategy with executive priorities.
Drive cross-functional projects to implement new applications or major upgrades, ensuring strong communication between IT and the business.

Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
7+ years of progressive experience in ERP, enterprise applications, or business systems management.
3-5 years of managerial experience.
Proven experience with systems integrations (APIs, middleware, ETL) and data flow management.
Strong understanding of reporting and BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, SSRS, Tableau).
Solid SQL/database knowledge for data modeling and reporting performance.
Track record of partnering with business stakeholders to deliver technology-driven improvements.
Excellent communication, project leadership, and vendor management skills.
