About the Team Workday is seeking a highly motivated Senior Product Manager to join our Developer Platform team - where we deliver essential developer tooling, frameworks, documentation, UI services and more to Workday’s engineering community. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for executing against the product strategy and roadmap for Developer Platform to continuously improve the developer experience, enabling engineers to meet the needs of future innovations that keep Workday competitive. About the Role As a Senior Product Manager on Developer Platform, you will: Lead the delivery of innovative & scalable solutions covering the entire product development lifecycle, ensuring on-time, high-quality results in support of Developer Platform’s strategy & roadmap. Collaborate deeply with design, engineering, and fellow product managers to build new tooling, platforms, and frameworks used to craft Workday UI. Proactively identify complex problems through generative research, define comprehensive solutions, and drive the entire product lifecycle from inception through post-launch evaluation and iteration. Champion the developer experience, mapping user journeys, writing detailed user stories, and defining clear acceptance criteria to deliver impactful solutions. Effectively communicate and present product vision, strategy, and progress to individuals at all levels within the organization, influencing team members and driving consensus. Work closely with software engineers to drive enthusiasm, adoption, and continuous feedback for product initiatives. Make data-driven decisions to inform product direction and measure success. Identify and articulate the clear business value within technical solutions, translating complex technical capabilities into tangible benefits for Workday and its engineering community. About You Basic Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in product management, engineering, or an equivalent, with a proven track record of leading product initiatives from inception to launch. 2+ years of experience working with solutions that influence the software development lifecycle, encompassing both frontend and backend systems. Other Qualifications: Experience with AI technologies and their application in software development or developer tooling. Proficiency in data analysis, with experience using data to inform conclusions, support decision-making, and measure product success. Experience conducting research to gather and analyze information, leading to a deeper understanding of complex problems and the formulation of effective solutions. A strong background in partner management, including identifying key team members, understanding their needs, and developing effective communication and management strategies. Proven experience with cross-team collaboration, working effectively with diverse teams to achieve common goals. Proven ability in critical thinking, with experience identifying market opportunities and developing long-term product strategies to achieve a competitive advantage. Experience in proactively influencing business decisions, with the ability to shape direction and inspire change within an organization through persuasive communication and creative thinking. A strong sense and a passion for improving developer experience, with the ability to understand and represent the needs of internal software engineers. Exceptional skills in decision making, including the ability to apply various decision-making frameworks, assess risk, and balance intuition with logical reasoning.
