Job Description
The Production Director will be responsible for organizing, optimizing, and controlling production activities, assisting the Senior Production Manager. The Director will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day production activities in order to maximize productivity and minimize costs while maintaining quality. He will ensure a safe environment for employees.
Role and responsibilities
Planning and optimization: Participates in determining, organizing, and optimizing production activities.
Management system: Helps establish and monitor the plant's overall performance in terms of production, quality, health, safety, etc.
Adapts plans to meet operational challenges.
Coordination: Helps coordinate teams and ensure projects are carried out successfully.
Recommends improvements to facilities, equipment, tools, etc.
Supervises professional employees and/or supervisors.
Coach: Provides effective managerial guidance. Mentors team members while embodying company values.
Defines a clear framework, including objectives, roles, and responsibilities.
Leads by example, is a good communicator, gives constructive feedback, recognizes successes, and promotes autonomy and trust through strong relationships and empathetic listening.
Participates in decisions regarding recruitment, performance evaluation, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
All other related tasks are considered part of the role and may be assigned as needed
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
Experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent.
Positive attitude.
Ability to meet deadlines and align productivity with organizational performance indicators and objectives.
Adaptability, learning and problem-solving skills.
Master the French and English language (communication with CMP NY)
