Job Description: The Senior Lighting Controls Specialist — Lutron HomeWorks QSX own the end‑to‑end delivery of premium residential/light‑commercial lighting and shading control systems built on Lutron HomeWorks QSX. You’ll handle design input, programming, commissioning, client handover, and post‑install service. This is a client‑facing, field‑heavy role with white‑glove expectations. What You Will Do: Design & engineering support: Review plans, create risers and one‑lines, build load/keypad schedules, recommend drivers and control strategies (phase, 0–10V, DALI/EcoSystem). Programming & commissioning: Configure QSX processors/links, address devices, load firmware, set scenes, timeclocks, and occupancy logic; acceptance testing and punch‑list closeout. Integration: Tie in Sivoia QS shades, Palladiom/Alisse/Pico keypads, Ketra, and third‑party systems (Crestron/Control4/Savant, HVAC, security, AV) via IP/RS‑232/relays/CC. Service & takeovers: Diagnose, repair, and optimize existing QS/QSX systems; perform upgrades, takeovers, and remote support; participate in on‑call rotation as needed. Documentation: Maintain submittals, BOMs, device maps, engravings, change orders, and as‑builts; log work in field‑service software. Quality & safety: Enforce electrical and site safety best practices; mentor electricians/apprentices on terminations, networking, and commissioning workflow. What You Will Bring: Active Lutron HomeWorks QSX Certification. 3+ years hands‑on programming and commissioning of Lutron HomeWorks (QS/QSX). Strong knowledge of lighting controls: phase dimming (ELV/MLV/TRIAC), 0–10V, DALI/EcoSystem, and basic DMX. Able to read and produce electrical drawings (single‑line, risers, panel/keypad schedules). Networking fundamentals (IP addressing, DHCP reservations, port forwarding, VLAN basics) and secure remote access. Low‑voltage integration experience (relays, contact closure, IR/RS‑232/IP). Code & safety awareness (NEC/CEC), LOTO, ladder/aerial lift practices. Clean driving record; comfortable working at heights and lifting up to 50 lb; excellent client communication.
