Lush Manufacturing produces products in our manufacturing centers in Vancouver
and Toronto. We support over 270 retail stores in Canada and the USA, as well as
our digital e-commerce business. We are looking for a dynamic and creative
individual to join our Manu Finance team as a Financial Business Partner -
Manufacturing.
Finance business partners provide financial insight and overview, offering
support and sound financial advice for all business decisions, utilizing
financial planning and scenario modelling tools. Communication and liaison
between all parties should be regular, and Finance business partners should be
proactive and strategic, utilizing their business and financial acumen to
influence decisions at all levels within the business.
The Financial Business Partner - Manufacturing will play a key role in the
accuracy and flow of data and the timely preparation of reporting. You will
interact with a wide array of people, including a working relationship with
global teams, and facilitate constructive, solution-oriented dialogue. You know
how to be curious about opportunities and find ways to move towards common
goals. You are able to be real with feedback and support.
This role is equivalent to a Senior Financial Analyst position. If you’ve worked

Reporting to the FP&A Manager - Manufacturing, the Financial Business Partner -
Manufacturing undertakes the following RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Financial business partner to the Manufacturing Team, providing quality,
relevant, and timely financial support to the stream and the organization.
Acting as a face of Finance and as a critical friend to the business. Be a
storyteller, turning data into easily understood trends and impacts that can
be actioned by the business. Have the ability to convey complex financial
information in a concise, non-technical manner.
- Lead month-end variance analysis and operational reviews for Manufacturing,
providing insights into financial performance, key underlying drivers,
changes against plan, and upcoming opportunities and risks.
- Lead monthly financial re-forecasting and annual budgeting processes,
including the development, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of
forecasting models to ensure accurate financial plans.
- Proactively review and develop metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs)
to find actionable opportunities for stakeholders and educate the business on
how those metrics drive financial improvements. Challenging current ways of
working to drive efficiencies and cost savings wherever possible
- Responsible for developing and improving centralized tools and dashboards
that enable business users to clearly understand their performance and
opportunities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver decision support, impact
assessments, and return on investment (ROI) analyses for evaluating projects
and strategic initiatives
- Improve finance knowledge across the business by effectively communicating
financial concepts that can be easily understood by all stakeholders.
- Provide peer support, guidance, and development opportunities to team
members.
- Proactively seek solutions to current and foreseeable issues.
- Provide support for any ad-hoc analysis projects, modelling, and presentation
materials as required.
You bring the following QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a FP&A role or demonstrated internal
experience with analytics, modelling, and problem-solving skills
- Proven experience working with key financial and accounting principles and/or
equivalent financial education or training
- Strong leadership, presentation, and communication skills
- Proven experience in developing, utilizing and analyzing financial and
operational KPIs
- A proven, collaborative, and inclusive approach to business support.
- Proactive approach and initiative
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work calmly under pressure to
achieve deadlines
- High proficiency and experience with Microsoft Excel.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality
work.
- Excitement and commitment to learn, understand, and relate to Lush’s core
brand values.
Preferred:
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing operations
setting, with a proven understanding of operational processes and systems
- Strong understanding and experience in cost accounting
- Diploma or Undergraduate degree in Commerce, Business Administration,
Accounting or related field.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX, QAD, (or other ERP) and/or Adaptive
forecasting software considered an asset.

This salary range is based on an assessment of the local market and may vary
depending on the successful candidate's location. This range is based on base
salary and does not include additional bonus program and total rewards
eligibility.
Base Salary Range
$85,000—$95,000 CAD
