We’re currently looking for an experienced Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our team.
About the opportunity:
As an Electro-Mechanical Technician, you will be a key member of our production team. Reporting to the Shop Supervisor you will provide your technical expertise and skills to assemble, install, maintain and repair equipment within our facility, as well as on customers premises, while adhering to general management objectives, company policies, health & safety rules and established quality standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
To be successful, you absolutely must have a desire to work hard, in a fast-paced environment, and be fueled by the excitement of working with leading edge equipment and technology.
On-Site & Remote Technical Support
Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic system malfunctions remotely and on-site
Travel to customer sites (up to 80% of the time) to install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial bakery equipment
Conduct on-call service as required
Ensure all service interventions are performed safely and efficiently
Document service activities and ensure compliance with corrective action plans
Customer Relationship Management
Establish strong relationships with customers through professional communication and service
Provide technical guidance and training to customers for optimal equipment use
Identify upselling opportunities for ABI products and services
Represent ABI brand and uphold our reputation for technical excellence.
Internal Support & Process Improvement
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives based on field insights
Provide technical support to other ABI technicians as needed
Collaborate with internal teams to enhance service quality and efficiency
What we are looking for:
Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Industrial Maintenance.
Strong understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
Hands-on experience with automated industrial equipment is a strong asset.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-travel environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
