The Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA) is seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual to provide support as an Account Representative within the Customer Relations Branch until October 31, 2026.
This position is required to work on-site, reporting to the Account Manager.
The Account Representative serves as the primary point of contact for their portfolio of approximately 150-200 small to medium-sized SLGA wholesale customers. This role is a customer-centric one, acting as the key contact for all programs, products, and services that SLGA offers.
The Account Representative will provide their expertise with customer orientation, service delivery, issues management, and administering ongoing training as required to their portfolio of customers. The Account Representative will work closely with internal stakeholders across departments to manage their customers’ liquor wholesale product needs and delivery of SLGA products from the Distribution Centre. This position will be responsible for the activities related to their accounts including wholesale ordering, payment, promotions, products, marketing, and other activities essential to the operation of a retail liquor store.
This position will be responsible for the entire range of products and services SLGA offers to its customers and will ensure that service delivery meets or exceeds their customer’s expectations. Delivering a high level of service to customers will require a solid understanding of SLGA’s services including wholesale liquor, special orders, regulatory and licensing requirements with the ability to solve problems and work through any issues as they may arise.

Primary Responsibilities
Develop and maintain positive business relationships with a portfolio of wholesale customers.
Maintain customer contact profiles and ensure customer change requests are processed in a timely manner.
Prepare reports on sales and service metrics for a portfolio of clients.
Maintain KPI tracking/reporting for own portfolio of clients.
Play a key role in the administration and maintenance of the customer claims processes.
Assist customers in product selection, pricing, and forecasting.
Manage customer complaints and conflicts in an effective manner with the understanding to elevate when required.
Oversee payment and collections of outstanding accounts of customers in portfolio.
Provide backfill support to SLGA’s order desk, completing customer orders, allocations and other duties as required.
Support the Customer Relations team in any capacity that may be required.
Required Technical Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications
A degree or diploma in business administration, commerce or other related field supplemented by relevant work experience.
Experience opening and maintaining new business accounts, issues management and building customer relationships would be considered an asset.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with superior issue management skills.
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), experience with Power BI would be considered an asset.
Knowledge of beverage alcohol products, categories along with the characteristics and uses of beverage alcohol products is an asset.
Knowledge of retail merchandising strategies and/or marketing strategies and tactics would be considered an asset.
Knowledge of applicable regulations, acts, terms and conditions, agreements, codes, policies and/or procedures related to the Government of Saskatchewan or SLGA is an asset.
The successful candidate will be required to complete their Serve it Right Saskatchewan certification within 30 days of resumption.
Must hold a valid class 5 driver’s license
Travel Requirement
This position requires 25% travel within the province. Overnight stays are occasionally required.
Working Conditions
The work period for an Account Representative is unregulated within any working day or series of working days. This consists of 224 hours with 2 earned days off in a 6-week period. These working hours will not exceed 12 hours in a day or more than 6 days in a calendar week.
In the course of their duties, an Account Representative may need to interact with customers who are experiencing frustration or dissatisfaction. It is essential that they demonstrate a commitment to safety by ensuring the well-being of themselves and others within the workplace.
