Shift: Tuesday - Saturday (12:30pm - 9pm)
In this role you will:
Support the Distribution Supervisor in providing day to day guidance, work direction to Warehouse Associates ensuring that deliveries are organized and loaded in a safe and efficient manner and that delivery teams are debriefed at the end of their shifts.
Assist in the collection, entry and communication of data in information such as KPI's, recognition program, etc...
Understand all aspects of the picking, receiving and home delivery operations and provide assistance as required.
Liaise and follow-up with operations, sales, customer service and customers on any issues or problems.
Provide support to the Delivery Teams during daily preps, deliveries, and complete manifest releasing.
Manage routing system and delivery runs, equipment sign-out.
Conduct and reconcile distribution issues that impact inventory and ensure they are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
Act in a supervisory/team lead capacity in the absence of a Supervisor (i.e.., afternoon/evening shifts, vacation coverage).
Provide training and orientation for new Associates.
Works on various project initiatives as required.
The Qualifications and Experience we like to see:
A college diploma in a related field.
1-2 years of leadership and/or supervisor experience is preferred.
Previous experience in warehouse, delivery, and inventory (cycle counts, return to vendor process) is a definite asset.
Knowledgeable and understanding of provincial transportation and policies is an asset (ex. log books, trip inspections, checking them over making sure they are correct and up to date, etc...)
Must have strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to deal with various internal/external stakeholders on issues and discrepancies (i.e.., order mix-ups, non-deliveries, manifest errors).
Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects or assignments as well as interacting with Management, Associates, customers and vendors
