About the role:
Global Saskatoon is currently seeking a full-time Commercial Producer, Editor to join the Corus Creative Services team for a one-year contract. This position will be primarily responsible for the production of commercial creative and will report to the Senior Manager of Corus Creative Services - Western Canada.
Corus Creative Services is an experienced team of Writers, Producers, Directors, Voice Artists, Editors, Graphic Artists, Audio & Cameral Technicians. We are experts in developing effective advertising and marketing campaigns across all platforms. We offer our clients a full-service production facility for the creation of multiple length television and radio commercials, corporate videos, public service announcements, promotion and contesting, image/brand campaigns, multi-platform on-line/videos, long format programming and more. The successful candidate will work in an extremely competitive market and join our award-winning team-in-house production center. This is a Group 3 position under the current collective agreement.
You will contribute by:
Lead and execute end-to-end production services for all visual multi-platform commercial content, from concept development, scripting/writing and client pitching to project management during pre-production planning, directing/production, and post-production editing, regulatory approvals and delivery.
Partner with sales account managers and clients to design creative concepts, balancing vision with budget, resources, and timelines.
Direct EFP shoots, voiceovers, and talent; while executing full post-production services; editing, motion/graphics, sound design, and color correction.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud with advanced skills in Premiere Pro and After Effects; applied expertise in editing, graphics, and post-production workflows.
Prepare quotes, storyboards, schedules, and reports, while driving efficiencies and supporting revenue growth opportunities.
Strong creative writing, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple high-priority projects under tight deadlines.
Skills and experience you will bring:
Post-secondary education in television broadcasting or equivalent.
Minimum 3-5 years of proven success in television and commercial production, including editing and post-production, with at least 2 years’ experience using Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro and After Effects).
Strong television, digital, social Writing skills – proven writing skills in commercial long and short form creative.
Strong ability to conceptualize abstract concepts and marketing messages visually, guiding the storytelling process.
Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation skills, and the ability to develop solid client relationships.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage concurrent deadlines, adapt to changing production requirements, and suggest solutions proactively.
Understanding of general accounting and budgeting as related to production.
Professional team player with a positive, client-service oriented attitude and willingness to continually learn new production and post-production methodologies.
Flexible work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and the ability to work beyond standard hours as required; willingness to travel when needed.
Valid Driver’s License is required along with a clean driver’s abstract.
