We are looking for awesome Korean-Speaking Personal Support Workers to work in Toronto with a client near O'Connor Drive and Curity Avenue in East York.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide personal care to clients as outlined in their care plans.
Provide companionship and light housekeeping (whatever it takes to help a senior stay at home).
Prepare meals in accordance to the client and/or the family's request (must be open to preparing different kinds of cuisine).
Adhere to providing personal care and help clients with their ADLs that is within the scope of practice for a Personal Support Worker
Assists clients in all activities of daily living/ hygiene assistance, bathing, grooming, linen changes and so forth.
Assists clients with transfers, ambulation and exercises.
Meets the safety needs of the client and uses equipment safely and properly.
Functions within the limits of own experience and knowledge, and practices safely and competently within the job description.
Completes records and documents accurately and thoroughly.
Schedule
Client is looking for care on any day of the week, as much as possible. Please state your availability in your application.
Client is looking for someone who will be with them long-term and can provide consistent care and communicate in Korean.
An asset if you own vehicle and have a valid driver's licence (not required)
Negative TB Test completed within the last year
Personal Support Worker Certification or International nursing/ doctorate Certification
Valid CPR/First Aid Certificate
Valid WHMIS2015 Certificate of Completion
COVID Vaccination Receipts subject to an exemption pursuant to Ontario’s Human Rights Code
Valid Criminal Record Check - must be completed within the last year.
Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English and must be able to speak Korean to communicate with client.
Ability to identify and report client care concerns to Care Designers when needed.
