Job Description What is the Opportunity? The Global Security Team focuses on driving greater business resilience from complex cyber attacks and physical threats, while enabling best-in-class identification and management of risk. Our team is integral to protecting RBC’s digital assets and brand, its employees, and clients’ trust, globally. Reporting to Senior Manager, Global Security Planning Office, the successful candidate will be accountable for providing financial management, strategic advice and analysis to the Senior Leadership Team to improve financial performance, drive cost savings and the quality of business decisions for spend managed by Global Security. What will you do? Primary contact for assigned GS Pillars providing central leadership, expertise and support of the monthly finance and business review process with Global Security Executives and delegates related to financial planning and management. Drive annual planning and budgeting to ensure financial budgets are in alignment with Global Security strategy and targets set out by Global Security Leadership in partnership with Finance and budget owners. Streamline and improve the effectiveness of the planning/budgeting process. Provide financial oversight of projects/programs/subsidiaries to ensure funding and approval are in place. Assist in PAR and business case reviews to weigh in on financial options and offer analysis. Responsible for consolidation, management and validation of cost savings initiatives. What do you need to succeed? Must have CFA/CPA/MBA or equivalent relevant experience Detailed-oriented, strong analytical capabilities, and problem-solving abilities Proficient in Excel, preferable in macro and financial models; proficient in PowerPoint Financial acumen, FP&A and reporting Demonstrated leadership and ability to work effectively with senior management teams Strong time management, with high degree of initiative and sense of urgency Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate across the organization Nice-to-have: Accounting knowledge Understanding of T&O’s direction, priorities and trends in technology and the market Experience managing budget greater than $10MM What’s in it for you?
