AI Data Engineer
This role supports SLC Management’s continued investment in artificial intelligence and machine learning to drive data-informed decision-making across global portfolios. The selected professional will take a senior position in a team responsible for designing and deploying advanced AI/ML systems with applications in investment research, risk management, and portfolio optimization.

What is in it for you:
• Salaried: $78-82 per hour.
• Incorporated Business Rate: $92-96 per hour.
• 12-month contract.
• Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.
• Work schedule from 9 am to 5 pm.
• Hybrid work: 3 days per week in-office.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement advanced AI/ML models to support asset management objectives.
• Translate business and investment requirements into scalable AI solutions.
• Build and maintain secure, production-ready data pipelines in collaboration with the data platform team.
• Partner with cloud engineers to evaluate and apply emerging AI technologies.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
• Ensure scalability, efficiency, and reliability of deployed solutions.
• Contribute to the development of governance frameworks to align with compliance and regulatory standards.
What you will need to succeed:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Strong knowledge of AWS Bedrock
• Experience working with tools like n8n and Open WebUI, M365 Copilot studio 3. Building EKS based Python Streamlit / .NET Core Blazor application for chat interface 4. Agentic AI and knowledge of building MCP servers
• 8+ years of experience in data-focused organizations, including 4+ years working with cloud-native technologies.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing AI/ML solutions, preferably within the asset management or financial services industry.
• Proficient in Python and experienced with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Keras.
• Strong background in cloud platforms and infrastructure, including AWS, Azure, Snowflake, and Oracle.
• Expertise in LLMs, embedding models, and agent-based AI architectures (e.g., multi-agent, RAG-CAG frameworks).
• Skilled in building scalable data pipelines and deploying production-ready ML systems.
• Familiarity with modern digital and CRM technologies.
• Proven ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder priorities.
• Strong leadership, communication, and strategic decision-making abilities.
