We are currently looking for a Membership Services Representative to join our team of committed professionals. This Part Time position within the Association is housed at the YMCA of Northeastern Ontario’s Chippewa Street West located in North Bay.
Under the leadership of the Supervisor of Membership Services, the Membership Services Representative is responsible for all membership data entry, financial payments, and course registration. In addition, Membership Services Representatives are often the initial point of contact at the YMCA. As such, they represent the organization, making the dissemination of accurate information and courteous service critical to the success of the YMCA.
START DATE: October 1st, 2025.
LOCATION: Chippewa Street West, North Bay, Ontario
RATE OF PAY: $18.27 per hour
HOURS: 20-30 hours per week
Major Responsibilities
Maintain the highest level of product knowledge and promote membership sales
Actively engage members and promote YMCA programs
Complete sales transactions with new and renewing members and program participants
Ensure that the fees are charged according to the type of membership or service purchased
Resolve member’s concerns or problems personally or redirect them to the appropriate staff person
Perform facility tours
Ensure that all confidential information is properly protected
Ensure member retention guidelines are being followed and all new members receive a follow up
Ensure that all required authorization forms for payment processing are completed and checked for accuracy
Acknowledge each individual that comes to the desk
Provide consistently prompt and courteous service
Ensure that the Membership Desk is clean and welcoming
Build relationships with members and guests, and promote the YMCA as a charitable organization
Qualifications
Possession of an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) preferred
Minimum of three (3) months of customer service or related experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Advanced computer skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Excellent customer service skills
Current Standard First Aid and CPR C
Current and satisfactory Police Record with Vulnerable Sector Check
